Spring Green Apartment Fire
Ooltewah, Tennessee
January 20, 2010
Fire broke out at Spring Green Apartments in Ooltewah around mid-morning.
911 received calls at 10:30 am.
Several units from
Tri-Community Volunteer Fire Department responded to the fire,
and are credited with preventing a total loss of the building.
The fire was quickly under control, and
no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire, which started in the living room of a second floor unit is unknown and is considered accidental.
No injuries have been reported.
All 4 units sustained smoke damage, the lower unit also sustained water damage.
Damage is estimated around $100,000
4 Families have been left homeless due to the fire.
Red Cross has been in contact with the families to render assistance.
